ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO (patch) kit exists for FTDRIVER on OpenVMS VAX V5.4 through
V5.5-1. This kit addresses the following problems:
o Invalid exception in FTDRIVER, caused by a READ EVENT
NOTIFICATION. Bugcheck occurs at FTDRIVER+595.
This problem is fixed in OpenVMS VAX V5.4-1.
o FTDRIVER crashes Invalid Exception, reason UCB$L_SVAPTE = 0.
The UCB$L_SVAPTE address in the FAT device UCB has been
cleared.
o FTDRIVER causes JOB BYTLM to run out. This occurs when a
subprocess used to create a Pseudo Terminal is deleted
before the Pseudo Terminal is deleted. If this is done
repeatedly, the JOB will run out of BYTLM.
This problem is fixed in OpenVMS VAX V5.5-1.
o FTdriver causes DOUBLDEALO bugcheck if a packet comes from
variable pool when creating a FTAxx UCB. The crash occurs
when deleting the UCB if the creating process does not
exist anymore.
NOTE: The problem does not occur if the packet is from the
lookaside list.
This problem is fixed in OpenVMS VAX V5.5-1.
