ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO (patch) kit exists for TUDRIVER.EXE on OpenVMS VAX V5.1-1
through V5.3-2. This kit addresses the following problems:
o After upgrading the HSC CRONIC software to either V4.00 (HSC50)
or V5.00 (HSC40/70), dynamic failover for tape does not work.
o Dynamic failover for the TA90 is not supported.
o After installing HSC software (CRONIC) V4.00 or V5.00, dynamic
tape failover does not work.
o When the TA90 is dual-ported, the tape subsystem returns the
following error:
-SYSTEM-F-SERIOUSEXCP, TMSCP Controller - Serious Exception
The secondary path reports "SI command timeouts" (error 2B) on the
HSC console.
o A process hangs in LEF state when trying to INITIALIZE, MOUNT, or
BACKUP to a TU81, TK70 or TK50. Typing a <CTRL/Y> may or may not
release the hung process. Any further attempt to use the tape
drive results in another LEF hang.
o A system may crash with an INVEXCEPTN or PGFIPLHI bugcheck at
TUDRIVER+2D3C if a <CTRL/Y> is entered during a BACKUP to tape.
o A system crashes with a TAPECLASS driver bugcheck at TUDRIVER+1349
when a reconnection attempt is made after a virtual circuit error
or failure.
