ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for AUTHORIZE.EXE on OpenVMS VAX V6.1 through V7.0.
This kit addresses the following problems:
Problems Addressed in the VAXUAF01_070 Kit for OpenVMS VAX V6.2 and V7.0:
o A user, in AUTHORIZE, removes some users, and then waits at the UAF>
prompt. From another window, the user attempts to login into a
different account. The login will hang between the mail
notification message and the execution of LOGIN.COM.
Problems Addressed in the VAXSYS09_061 Kit for OpenVMS VAX V6.1:
o Currently, the AUTHORIZE utility translates all supplied node
names to their fullname equivalents during the processing of
proxy commands. These fullnames are then used in the actual
proxy system service calls. However, AUTHORIZE does not set
the appropriate flag on these calls to indicate that the node
names have already been expanded. Therefore, the proxy system
services call the network again to convert the node names into
their fullnames. This causes performance degradation.
