ECO KIT SUMMARY:
An ECO kit exists for SYS$CPU_ROUTINES_1605.EXE on OpenVMS
Alpha V7.1 through V7.1-1H2. This kit addresses the following
problems:
Problems addressed in ALPCPU1604_071 kit:
o After installation of the ALPCPU1603_071 kit on a V7.1
system, the system does not boot properly. This problem
is only on V7.1 systems. If you have a 7.1-1H1 or V7.1-1H2
system and have installed the ALPCPU1603_071 kit, you do
not need to install this kit.
Problems addressed in ALPCPU1603_071 kit:
o Different versions of CPUs did not work together in the
Alphaserver 4100.
o Array indexing was changed from from [1] and [2] to [0]
and [1] respectively because the C computer language uses
zero-based indexing.
o Error log system data from a machine check logout frame
was incorrect.
Problems addressed in ALPCPU1602_071 kit:
o The ALPCPU1601_071 remedial kit, which applied to V6.2* and
V7.1 is being reissued as two single version kits. There
are no new fixes in this kit. If you have installed the
ALPCPU1601_071 remedial kit you do not need to install this
kit.
Problems addressed in ALPCPU1601_071 kit:
o Allow the use of mixed EV5 and EV6 CPUs on AlphaServer
4000/4100 systems.
